Change of scenery at Bolsena Lake, where you can practice water sports and eat in good cheap restaurants, feets in the water. The historic center of Bolsena city is very pleasant. Volcanic lake the largest in europe it is bordered by some beautiful villages including Bolsena, Marta (little fishing village), Capodimonte, Montegabbione.

• Cività di Bagnoreggio : (8) One of the most beautifull village of Italia
is in fact two villages. Civita, magnificent village based by the Etruscan 2500 years ago, is on an accessible hill only by a long stone footbridge which begins at the end of the road of the neighboring town of Bagnoregio.
Leave the car in the parking and make a small walk via the footbridge ( ± 25 min )
The site, threatened with erosion, is accessible every day from 8:00 to 20:00 Entry fee of 5 euro which helps to finance major works to delay the fatal deadline.

The 3 tuff cities: Pitigliano, Sorano et Sovana
Piitigliano, Sovana and Sorano, these three villages in the province of Grosetto, called «The Città del Tufo», are a particular architectural, historical and urbanistic interest.
• PITIGLIANO (12) The bigger of the 3 villages. Very nice historical center with his Jewish ghetto
Restaurant : Agrarian consortio in the shode of the plane-trees on a lovely place. Simple but good and really cheap
• SOVANA (11) Charming picturesque village with the nice duomo di San Pietro

Civita di Bagnoregio est en fait deux villages. Bagnoregio est sans grand intérêt mais Civita est un magnifique bourg fondé il y 2.500 ans par les étrusques. Il se situe sur la pointe d’une colline accessible seulement par une longue passerelle. Il est indispensable de se garer au parking et faire la petite promenade d’accès à pied via cette passerelle (± 25 min).
Le site, menacé d’érosion, est accessible tous les jours de 8 à 20h moyennant une entrée de 5 euro qui aide au financement de gros travaux réalisés régulièrement pour retarder l’échéance fatale.

Restaurant : Consorzio agreria à l’ombre des platanes sur la très jolie Piazza della Repubblica. Bon, simple et vraiment pas cher.
• SOVANA Joli bourg pittoresque avec le beau duomo roman/gothique de San Pietro HORAIRE Juillet/août: 9h-13h, 15h-20h ; reste de l’année 10h-13h, 15h-18h
• SORANO 3ème bourg médiéval des cités de tuf. Comme Pitigliano et Sovana, Sorano est lui aussi un charmant village, beau, calme et rustique.
